Identification of power socket leakage accidents

Identification of power socket leakage accidents-Accident Appraisal-

Power outlet leakage accidentAppraisal Background

Socket leakage means that due to improper socket design or poor material quality, the wires inside the socket are short-circuited or have poor contact, and current cannot flow normally, resulting in current leakage and the risk of electric shock to the human body.

Electric leakage from the socket may cause electric shock to the human body, thus posing a threat to personal safety. If the electric shock current is too large, it may even lead to death. The risk of fire caused by socket leakage is also relatively high. If leakage current causes a wire to be overloaded, the wire may overheat and cause a fire. Socket leakage can also cause damage to electrical appliances connected to the outlet, such as causing circuit boards to burn out, or even causing electrical appliances to catch fire.

Zhongke Testing and Appraisal Institute can provide power socket leakage accident identification services, and make accurate identifications of trace physical evidence analysis and accident cause analysis in various power socket leakage accidents.

Power outlet leakage accidentCause of Accident:

1. The loose connection to HTMLTAGTAGTOKEN1HTMTAGTOKEN2 is prone to impregnation, electrical hazard and even fire, when the internal conductor connection is rigid.

2. When the insulation portion of the insulation of the insulation of the

HTMTAGTOKEN6 is broken or ageing, it is easily caused to contact the external metal segment with the power lines, forming a current circuit and creating a risk of electroshock injury.

Power outlet leakage accidentAuthentication case

One afternoon, a person was electrocuted while using an electric water heater. The scene of the incident was a farmyard. There were two overhead wires above the courtyard. A white twisted-pair wire was led from the overhead wires and connected to a multi-pin socket. The power cord of the electric water heater was always plugged into the socket.

Entrusted by the client, a third-party appraisal agency conducted a technical appraisal of the "suspected power socket leakage" to find the direct cause of the accident.

Appraisal analysis results:

Appraisers went to the site involved for inspection and analyzed the causes of the "suspected power socket leakage" as follows:

When the power cord plug of the electric water heater is inserted into the socket, an electrical connection is formed with the casing and water outlet through the ground pin and its grounding wire, making the casing and water outlet become live bodies. Once the user touches the casing of the electric water heater and the metal snakeskin pipe connected to the water outlet, an electric shock accident will occur.
