Glass fiber reinforced thermosetting plastics chemical media resistance test

Glass fiber reinforced thermosetting plastics chemical media resistance test-Corrosion Testing-

Test Background

Glass fiber reinforced plastic (also known as fiberglass, the internationally recognized abbreviation symbol is GFRP or FRP) is a composite material with various varieties, good performance and wide range of uses.
It is a new functional material made of synthetic resin and glass fiber through a composite process. It plays an important role in the construction of the national economy. The chemical media resistance test of glass fiber reinforced thermosetting plastics can determine the chemical media resistance of glass fiber reinforced thermosetting plastics.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various glass fibers and provides professional chemical resistance testing services for glass fiber reinforced thermosetting plastics.

Scope of tests

Commonly used thermosetting plastic varieties include phenolic resin, urea-formaldehyde resin, melamine resin, unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin, silicone resin, polyurethane, etc.

Test method

Soak the glass fiber reinforced thermosetting plastic sample in the liquid chemical medium, observe the appearance of the sample and the medium, and test the changes in the mass, thickness, hardness and bending properties of the sample with the extension of the immersion time, thereby judging the chemical medium resistance performance of the fiber reinforced thermosetting plastic.

Test standard:

GB/T 3857-2017 Test method for chemical media resistance of glass fiber reinforced thermosetting plastics
GB/T1446 General principles for performance test methods of fiber reinforced plastics
GB/T 1449 Test method for bending properties of fiber reinforced plastics
GB/T3854 Barcol (Barcol) hardness test method for fiber reinforced plastics
