Test Background
Polymer waterproofing membranes are usually artificially synthesized. They are based on synthetic rubber, synthetic resin or a blend of the two, add appropriate amounts of chemical additives and fillers, etc., and are processed through different processes into a rollable sheet-like waterproofing material. Or the above materials are combined with synthetic fibers to form two or more layers of rollable sheet-like waterproofing materials.
The chemical liquid resistance test of polymer waterproofing membranes can measure the performance changes of polymer roofing waterproofing membrane specimens after being immersed in chemical liquids (including water), including changes in mass, size, appearance, physical properties, etc. immediately after immersion and removal or after immersion and removal and drying.

Scope of tests
There are many types of polymer waterproof membranes, such as self-adhesive red core polymer modified asphalt waterproof membrane, self-adhesive strong cross-membrane polymer waterproof membrane, polyvinyl chloride PVC polymer waterproof membrane, thermoplastic polyolefin TPO polymer waterproof membrane, polyethylene polyester polypropylene polymer waterproof membrane, chlorinated polyethylene CPE polymer waterproof membrane, HDPE non-asphalt-based self-adhesive film polymer waterproof membrane.
Test method
The test piece is completely immersed in the specified amount of test liquid at the specified temperature and for the specified time. The properties are measured before and after immersion and, if necessary, after drying. In the latter case, where possible, the same test piece is used.
