Test Background
Varnish is mainly good at expressing the texture of wood, and the texture of hardwood is more beautiful, so varnish is mostly used on hardwood to show the texture of natural wood; color paint mainly shows the color decoration effect of the paint itself, and the requirements for wood are not high. Color paint can be used to match plywood, cork, and density board.
Paint and varnish liquid resistance tests determine the effect of water on the coating surface or the extent of damage to the substrate. Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various paints and varnishes, and provides professional liquid resistance testing services for paints and varnishes.
Scope of tests
Color paint is divided into primer and topcoat: primer is divided into primer, putty, mid-coat, sealer, anti-rust paint, etc.; topcoat is divided into enamel paint, special topcoat, etc.
The paint and film of varnish are transparent and are divided into ester varnish, shellac varnish, phenolic varnish, alkyd varnish, acrylic varnish, polyester varnish, high-performance varnish, fluorocarbon varnish, etc.
Test method
1. Immerse in a liquid other than water: Immerse the painted specimen into the test liquid to expose it to the test liquid, and evaluate the changes in the immersed coating according to agreed standards.
2. Water immersion method: Immerse the painted test panel in water, and evaluate the impact of immersion on the coating according to agreed standards.
3. Method using absorbing media: Use absorbing media to expose the painted test panels to the test fluid, and evaluate the impact of exposure on the coating according to agreed standards.
4. Drop method: Drop the test liquid on the painted test panel, and evaluate the changes in the test area according to the agreed standards.
5. Use the oven method with temperature gradient: drop the test liquid on the painted test panel, place the test panel in the gradient oven, and evaluate the changes in the test area according to the agreed standards.
