Test Background
Rubber and plastic hose liquid wall permeability test determines the ability of liquids to penetrate the walls of hoses and non-reinforced hoses.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to test the reliability performance of various rubber and plastic hoses, and provides professional liquid wall permeability testing services for rubber and plastic hoses.
Scope of tests
Rubber and plastic hoses are mainly divided according to their uses: threading hoses, drainage hoses, ventilation hoses, shower hoses, and wiring harness tubes.
Rubber and plastic hoses are mainly divided into corrugated hoses, rubber hoses and plastic hoses according to their materials.
Test method
Method A: Applicable to hoses of all specifications and structures, it is an actual comparison test under simulated working conditions.
1) This method is performed on an assembly installed in a test equipment equipped with a device that can fill and measure the filling volume of volatile liquids.
2) The system is under pressure and the volume change is measured every 24 hours until the volume change is constant with time, that is, an equilibrium state is reached.
3) The test result is the evaporation rate in this steady state, expressed as the volume of liquid lost per hour per unit internal surface area of the hose or non-reinforced hose.
Method B: Applicable to hoses with an inner diameter not larger than 16 mm and non-reinforced hoses.
1) This method uses a pressureless container, connects one end of a length of hose or non-reinforced hose to it, and plugs the other end of the hose or non-reinforced hose.
2) Fill the container partially with the test liquid and seal it. Weigh the assembly at the beginning of the test and then every 24 hours for the next 8 days.
3) The test results are expressed in terms of the maximum liquid loss mass per unit internal surface area of the hose or non-reinforced hose during any 24 h period.
